Infected Wound Care Essential Bandages
This wound dressing was developed for military use by NATO countries. It was found to be very effective for
infected, hard-to-heal wounds. It has been in use since 2001 across the European Community and the Middle East,
in hospitals, clinics and in the field with military forces.

The Bauer Bandage is easy to use. It promotes faster healing. It is durable and has absorptive
properties that last. In considerably infected defects the dressing should be changed each 6-12 hours
at beginning. After improvement, the optimal period of the application of the Bauer Bandage is 24-72 hours. Times
between dressing changes may vary widely depending on the treatment plan for the individual, but in general,
treatment cycles are shortened significantly.
